COVID SAFE MEASURES

01/08/2020

There is no doubt about it that it has been a challenging time these past months as we continue to cope with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) as a community. In these uncertain times, our focus is always on our families, the children in our care, and our team members and that we play a part in ensuring the safety of everyone in our community.

As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, we continue to monitor Government advice and take precautionary actions based on this. We have worked hard to ensure that we are communicating with our families and are dedicated to our practices within our centre.

We also ask for families to respect the restrictions we have in place for entry onto school grounds, only staff and children are permitted on the grounds until further notice as stated by the school. We ask that all parents continue to call the OOSH mobile 0418609993 from outside the side gate entrance on Pursell Avenue for dropping off and picking up your children, our staff will meet you there.

The health and well-being of the children in our care, their families and our team members is our highest priority.

Staying in the loop

In order to keep our families informed, this page will be updated regularly with the latest information and requirements for our Oosh families, team members and visitors.

We also ask that you continue to communicate with our centre Director regarding your planned attendance and any absent days.

Looking after our community

Measures we are undertaking

In line with government advice, we continue to implement the following:

  • Exclusion of any person who is unwell and any person who has had extended contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case
  • Amended daily practices to ensure best practice with COVID-19 government guidelines. Some of these practices include centre cleaning, child hand-washing, personal hygiene, restricted access of entry and exit requirements.
  • Full risk assessments of the centre in consultation with the Department of Education.
  • A plan to encourage all families to access influenza vaccines now available through GP's and some pharmacies.

A clean OOSH, is a happy & safe OOSH!

We are pleased that are doors remain open and recognised as an essential service, therefore, we will continue to support our families.

In addition, we know it is a difficult time for many; if you have any questions, please speak with our Centre Director, staff or please click here for our Coronavirus Family FAQ click here

You can find more information and the latest government advice on the Department of Health's website, which is updated daily.

We thank you for your ongoing support during this time.

Warm regards,

Ellie, Zac and the team
