Covid 19 Update - 27th June
Dear families,
We are very sad to be in this situation again as we were all looking forward to an action packed vacation care. As always, our priorities are with the health of our staff and children. Please find below the latest COVID-19 update.
Vacation care
Due to the new restrictions, we have made the decision to remain open for essential workers and single parents only. We will be reassessing this decision on Wednesday the 30th June and parents will be emailed with an update, as we hope to get more guidelines from the Government between now and then.
We are aware this variant is highly infectious, and cases have been found in children so are wanting to ensure their health is prioritised.
Incursion and Excursions
We have had to cancel all incursions and excursions. We will be operating each day as an incentive day.
Cancelations
Families who wish to cancel their bookings, will not be charged. We ask that families please email us at office@bppsoosh.org.au if you are an essential worker and your child(ren) will be attending.
Drop off and pick up
We ask that all parents/carers remain off-site. Parents are to wait in their car and call the centre mobile when you are at the side gate on Pursell Ave. A staff member will collect the child from you. For pick up, we ask that parents wait in their car and call the centre mobile when they are at the side gate, and staff will walk your child up to you.Social distancing guidelines are to be followed when dropping and collecting your child. As pick up and drop off can be quite busy, we ask that you wear a mask at these times.Children don't have to wear masks.
Temperatures - 37.5 or higher
We will be taking temperatures from Monday 28th June. Once when your child arrives and once at lunchtime. Any child or staff member's temperature which is above 37.5 will be sent home. Evidence of the COVID test result must be emailed to us at office@bppsoosh.org.au.
Any household member - Flu like symptoms
If you or ANY member of your household is experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, do not bring your child to OOSH and obtain a COVID test. Evidence of the COVID test result must be emailed to us at office@bppsoosh.org.au.
Hotspots
Please keep up to date with hotspot venues. If you or anyone in your household has visited one of the hotspot venues, do not bring your child to OOSH and adhere to government guidelines of isolating for 14 days.
Staff Procedures
All our staff will be adhering to the same procedures as families. Staff will maintain social distancing, follow strict hygiene practices and sanitize all high traffic use areas a minimum of 4 times a day.
As per government guidelines, our staff will not be wearing masks onsite.
We thank all our families for their cooperation and understanding as we navigate through these tough times.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,
Ellie Smit
